Richland Shield uses a secure internet-based website to send out alerts to members in the program. By sharing this information in a timely manner, the chance of deterring potential terrorist activity increases, as well as the possibility of identifying ordinary criminal activity.
Another benefit of the program is the opportunity to network with others within the community with similar concerns. To that end, the program sponsors a voluntary bi-monthly meeting open to all members.
